Common name

Description

Rhizome creeping, rhizome scales lanceolate in outline. Frond proliferous. Stipe to 30 cm long with few scales. Lamina 40-45 x 20-25 cm, pinnate with 3-5 pairs of pinnae. Pinnae 13-17 x 4 cm, decrescent towards the stipe, set at an angle of 80° to the rhachis, margin wavy, apex abruptly pointed, point filiform, to 1.5cm long, proliferous. Terminal pinna resembling lateral ones, slightly bigger. Rhachis and costae sparsely set with few scales. Sori close to the costa, reaching about 0.5 cm from the margin.

Notes

A. annetii is pinnate, proliferous on terminal and lateral pinnae, the apex of the pinnae is abruptly pointed.

Moist forest, border of streams, on trees in forest.

Distribution in Africa

Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea (incl. Bioko), Gabon.

Growth form

Epiphytic.
